There is something inherently romantic about bringing the outdoors inside. Allowing nature to soften grand architecture, and letting texture and florals take the lead and serve as a focal point for a wedding. Imagined as an intimate indoor garden wedding, The Garden Room editorial, set within the historic interiors of Clevedon Hall, was curate as a celebration of timeless elegance intertwined with natural beauty.

It was an honour to see the shoot featured on Love My Dress, and to create stationery that played an integral role in shaping the atmosphere of the day.

From the very first piece, the stationery was designed to feel like a natural extension of the vision itself. A soft, restrained palette of ivory and green set the tone, allowing texture and form to tell the story rather than colour alone. Framed shapes echoed the architectural detailing of Clevedon Hall, while layered papers invited the hand to linger, each element revealing itself slowly, much like the rooms within the venue.

The wedding invitation suite became a quiet introduction to the world curated for The Garden Room. A layered, framed invitation with a a blind embossed monogramed crest on the reverse. The wedding invitation suite was wrapped in translucent vellum, printed with a delicate oil painting inspired by the tapestries that line the hall’s walls. When untied, the vellum fell away to reveal details card frames with hand drawn rose illustration and a bespoke die-cut RSVP card bearing crest motifs.

As the day unfolded, the stationery continued the narrative seamlessly. The wedding menus echoed the invitation design, carrying through its framed, layered style. Place cards evolved from the invitation suite with a frame-shaped design, where traditional calligraphy was layered over the oil painting and finished with an ivory tassel. Table numbers followed the same silhouette, creating a sense of continuity that felt subtle and intentional.

The heart of the stationery design, however, was the escort card table plan. Rather than a traditional sign, it was curated as an immersive moment. Handcrafted paper roses escort cards formed the centrepiece, each bloom meticulously created from twelve bespoke cut petals, accompanied by delicately shaped leaves, with the guests names and table number. Designed to mirror the florals woven throughout the shoot, the table plan blurred the boundary between stationery and styling, guiding guests to their seats through a garden of paper blooms.

The Garden Room was a reminder of what wedding stationery can be when it is allowed to become part of the environment. Each piece contributed to a sense of arrival, creating a world that felt immersive, romantic, and quietly magical.

Set within the storied rooms of Clevedon Hall, this editorial celebrated the beauty of restraint, craftsmanship, and storytelling - where every element, down to the finest embossed detail, played its part in bringing the vision to life.
