Join Laura from Lucca Studios for a relaxing and creative 2-hour workshop where you’ll be introduced to the beautiful art of modern calligraphy using traditional ink and nib. Perfect for complete beginners, this class will give you the confidence and skills to start your own calligraphy journey.

Free parking is available on site and you’ll be greeted with a welcome drink

What You’ll Get

Every attendee receives a luxury modern calligraphy kit (worth £34) to take home, so you can continue practicing long after the workshop. Your kit includes:

  • Black wooden pen holder

  • Nikko G nib & envelope

  • Pot of black ink

  • Lucca Studios Calligraphy Guide filled with tips & tricks

  • Workbook of practice sheets & guidelines

What You’ll Learn

By the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to:

  • Use a nib and ink with confidence

  • Master basic strokes and techniques

  • Correctly form both lowercase and capital letters

  • Link letters together to create words

  • Explore layout and design to create a greetings card

Throughout the session, you’ll receive 1:1 personalised guidance in a small, supportive class setting to help you flourish. This workshop is open to all - left-handed students are very welcome!

I’m Laura, the founder of Lucca Studios, a luxury wedding stationery studio based in Henley-on-Thames. I specialise in designing refined, romantic stationery for modern couples, combining traditional techniques like hot foiling and calligraphy with timeless design. Calligraphy has been at the heart of my creative journey, and I love sharing its magic with others — helping beginners discover the joy and mindfulness that comes from putting nib to paper.
