Jenna & Jack’s September wedding at The Great House

Lucca Studios – Blog Feature May 2023

'Wow, where do I even begin? Getting to work with Laura at Lucca Studios was a joy from start to finish. She managed all our stationery for our wedding day and I may be biased but it was beautiful and everything we wanted. Laura really takes the time to get to know her couples and designs pieces that really work with the overall vision of the wedding day. Most of the pieces I kept and will cherish for years to come. Thank you so much Laura, it was such a joy to work with you!'

As I dive head first into this year’s wedding season, I thought I’d have a quick look back on some of my recent romantic wedding stationery projects from 2022, including this gem of a wedding that belongs to Jenna and Jack. This delightful pair were an absolute joy to work with and nothing makes me happier than seeing my work in all its glory – so a huge thank you to Richard Skins Photography for capturing their details so beautifully on camera. So, without further ado, grab a cosy cup of coffee and get scrolling to soak up the stationery inspiration…

A riverside wedding venue in Berkshire, The Great House provided an enchanting yet intimate backdrop for Jenna and Jack’s wedding day on Friday 9th September 2022. They approached me to create their on-the-day wedding stationery, with a minimalist yet elegant brief threaded throughout every detail. There’s no doubt about it – this bride-to-be had an eye for style, and it was hugely important to them both that the day captured the thousands of tiny, intricate details that mean the world. They wanted their suppliers’ work to complement each other, so marrying it all together seamlessly was essential.

Jenna & Jack’s wedding colour palette focused on an array of soft sage and muted tones that effortlessly weaved throughout every element – epitomising the elegant atmosphere they had their hearts set on achieving. Lucca Studios wedding signage was incorporated throughout their day, with a ‘Welcome to the Wedding of Jenna & Jack’ acrylic sign perfectly setting the scene at their church ceremony. Carefully displayed on a white wooden easel with wildflowers courtesy of Nong Smith and scattered pillar candles, their welcome sign featured hand drawn illustrations that detailed how their celebration would be unfolding. As their ceremony began and guests were guides to their seats, their Order of Service booklets awaited, featuring a bespoke illustration of the church on the cover. For the wedding signs that were beautifully scattered throughout the day, we ensured the designs remained minimalist, with elegance shining through in the calligraphy. Jenna and Jack previously mentioned that they would likely want to display the signs in their home afterwards, which lent itself perfectly to a neutral style. And guess what? The signs currently have their own display shelf in the guest bedroom – the most gorgeous keepsake!

When it came to Jenna and Jack’s reception at this stylish riverside wedding venue, we created place cards that featured a dainty illustration of the bride’s hair piece, alongside the date of the wedding, offering the guests a subtle yet special memento from the day. Long wooden trestle tables were styled with pale linen runners and ivory tapered candles, alongside acrylic table names that were chosen after each stop of their American road trip. Jack proposed to Jenna on 17 Mile Drive – so of course we had to include this! Jenna and Jack adored the Lucca Studios signage, so we also created a small directional sign with distances from their proposal spot, Jenna’s hometown of York and their home in Henley on Thames.

As a wedding stationer, I love nothing more than incorporating elements that have significant meaning to the couples I work with. Jenna & Jack’s little dog Woody made an appearance on their wedding day – along with his very own personalised cocktail and sign to match! He looked very dapper in a super sweet black-tie outfit!

The newlyweds ended their wedding day with some ridiculously gorgeous golden hour shots, before dancing the night away with their favourite people. I hope you enjoy immersing yourself in all the wedding inspiration you could ever need – don’t forget to drop me a note here [LINK] if you’d like to see more of my endlessly romantic wedding stationery.
