Design Process

Once you’ve browsed through our stationery and signage services, it’s time to make the first move. When enquiring, let me know if there are any particular stationery collections or signs that you have fallen head over heels in love with, your colour palette preferences and any other details you think may be useful. Remember, colours and other intricacies can be adapted to reflect your wedding. 

Then, I’ll pop across an introductory questionnaire so that I can get to know you both a little better and to really delve into what you’re looking for, before whipping up a bespoke quote.

We’re already one step closer to beginning your journey to the most romantic wedding stationery imaginable. 

Things start getting very exciting right about now. Once you’re happy with your quote, it’s time to book Lucca Studios. You’ll then need to a pay a 50% non-refundable deposit and sign on the dotted line. Please note, your wedding date and studio design time can only be confirmed once we have received your deposit and contract. I’ll then explain the next steps, including a creation timeline which details all the design stages and any key dates you need to take note of.

Then, it’s officially time to get designing! For Save the Dates and invitations, the design time takes around 6-8 weeks for designs from the Core Collection. If you have opted to go down the bespoke design route, you can expect this to take around 8 – 12 weeks. 

For your stationery & signage for the wedding day itself, this takes around 8 weeks and we start this process 10 weeks before your wedding date. Everything will be ready for you two weeks before your wedding.

With all designs (invitations and On the Day), you’ll have the chance to see digital design and realistic mock ups of your stationery & signage, with the addition for two rounds of amendments before everything is created for you.

When your stationery and signage is ready to go, I will also ask that the remaining balance is paid in full before items are delivered or shipped. For Save the Dates, invitations and smaller items of On the Day stationery, this will be shipped and delivered to you. Collection is available for larger items of signage from Henley on Thames, but these can also be delivered to you. Everything that is delivered will be sent with next day delivery and Full Insurance to make sure everything arrives within plenty of time.
